STEMOVA is an independent skincare brand based in Ticino, Switzerland, built with a small group of independent specialists. It is preparing to launch a single product, a fragrance free and alcohol free moisturiser formulated for sensitive skin. The product is made by a manufacturing partner in the European Union, in a facility certified to ISO 22716 cosmetic good manufacturing practice.
I have always been careful about what goes into my body. I read labels. I check what things are made of. I would rather cook something myself than eat something I cannot identify.
Then one day I looked at the jar I had been putting on my face twice a day, every day, for years, and realised I could not read it. I did not know what half of it was. I could not tell which parts were doing something and which were there to make the label look full.
That bothered me more than it should have. Skin is not separate from the rest of you. It is the largest thing you own and the only thing you wear every day.
So I went looking for a product I could actually understand. Not the one with the longest list of actives or the loudest promise. One where I could read every line and know why it was there, and be comfortable using it for ten years rather than ten weeks.
I could not find it, so I decided to build one.
Four formulations were reviewed by an independent licensed pharmacist before one was selected. He verified the manufacturer's certification directly with the certifying body rather than accepting a copy from the supplier.
Three of the four had something unresolved. The one chosen is the plainest of them, with no fragrance, no alcohol, and one clear job.
We will not make claims we cannot evidence. We will not describe the product as treating or curing anything, because it is a cosmetic and not a medicine.
We will not publish an ingredient list or any concentration until the formulation and safety assessment are final. We would not have launched this product if the testing had not come back the way it should.
One word on a label can stand for a long list of substances, which is why our first product contains no fragrance at all.
The phrase tells you a test took place. It does not tell you what the test found, and those are different things.
From 27 September 2026 the EU prohibits generic environmental claims. We had already decided not to make any, and this explains both.
Two different events produce similar looking skin. The clearest way to tell them apart is how long the reaction took.
The skin barrier is a physical structure about as thick as cling film, and everything it does can be measured.
Healthy skin sits at around pH 4.7, lower than the number usually printed on a cleanser. What the acid mantle actually does.
A moisturiser does not feed your skin. It manages water, by three mechanisms, and they are not interchangeable.
A practical method for evaluating any new product: small area, one at a time, and enough time to learn something.
ISO 22716 says how a product is made, not whether it works, and we checked ours with the certifying body directly.
A preservative efficacy test runs for 28 days. Our product has passed it, and the report is on file.
The order of the list is the information. The first five entries tell you most of what a product actually is.
The small code stamped on the base is what makes a single jar traceable, and what makes a recall possible at all.
A product can advertise the absence of something it was never going to contain, which tells you nothing about the product.
Four formulations were reviewed by an independent licensed pharmacist. Three were set aside, each for a specific reason.
One question for you. After you join the waitlist we will ask you one thing: what has your skin reacted to before? The answers shape what we make next.
Where things stand. Trade mark application filed 6 August 2026. Preservative efficacy testing complete, with the report on file. Company formation, then insurance in force, then launch, in that order.
Find out what your skin reacts to. A method sheet and a log, free. It works whether or not you ever buy anything from us.
We will only email you about the launch. No sharing with third parties. Read our Privacy Policy.
